PBQ sponsors the largest quilt show in Mississippi in October of every other year. October 10-12, 2008, is our next show date. This judged contest showcases the work of Mississippi quilters and helps them learn from the judge's critiques to strive for excellence in their work. Mounting a quilt show is a major undertaking, and we work for two years toward the event. We make a group raffle quilt and sell tickets. We contribute items to a boutique to raise funds. And last, we invite nationally known quilt personalities for trunk shows and lectures.

Our 12th Biennial show is going to be bigger and better than ever! We have outgrown our former location in Downtown Hattiesburg and are expanding from a 1-1/2 day show to a 3-day Fiber Art & Quilt Show at Hattiesburg’s Lake Terrace Convention Center. Quilt artist Flavin Glover will judge the show.

Show Theme: Two-Color Quilts. This means that one of the show categories will be quilts made using only the quilter’s choice of two colors.
